Cocktails and Conversation – Supporting No Dog Gets Left Behind

Join Ashley Assists, LLC, as we celebrate and support the non-profit No Dog Gets Left Behind!

Save the Pups, Inc. (d/b/a No Dog Gets Left Behind)(www.ndglb.org) is a Philadelphia-based all-volunteer 501(c)(3) that raises money to help reunite combat veterans and the dogs that they adopted while stationed overseas. Reuniting these dogs with their soldiers helps to ease readjustment to civilian life and minimizes the impact of PTSD.

Although these reunions are logistically complicated and expensive, costing nearly $5,000 per dog, the therapeutic benefits make the investment worthwhile. Additionally, recognizing the therapeutic benefit of having a pet in one’s life, our Strays for Soldiers program helps to subsidize the adoption fees to enable qualifying veterans to rescue dogs and cats from participating PSPCA shelters.

Since its founding in 2010, working on a shoestring budget, NDGLB has made a demonstrably positive impact on the lives of combat veterans, having reunited more than 60 vets with their “battle buddies” and having helped to facilitate the rescue of more than 150 dogs and cats through our Strays for Soldiers program.

NDGLB is truly a win-win for soldiers and animals!
