International Women’s Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action. It has been occurring for well over a century – and continue’s to grow from strength to strength.

Women are still not paid equally to that of their male counterparts and their are still not equal numbers in business or politics. Education, health and the violence against them is still worse globally then that of men. However, great improvements have been made and will continue to be made through the upcoming years. The World Economic Forum has predicted that global gender equality is estimated to be achieved by 2133.

CNN did a great story on women all around the world and how they are impacting their community. These stories will inspire you to what is possible through determination and strength.

If you have a story of someone who has been an inspiration locally or globally, we would love to hear about them! Let’s work to make everyday International Women’s Day. Let’s also ensure a bright and equal future for girls so that they can continue to make an impact for themselves and the world.
