LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — If your little ones take the bus to and from their Lower Merion School District school, you have reason to relax. That’s because the Lower Merion School District Transportation Department recently took first place in the 46th Annual Montgomery-Bucks School Bus Safety Competition.
The department fielded a team of eight drivers to compete in the competition at William Tennent High School.
They performed exceedingly well, besting all other competing districts en route to capturing first place overall.

The awards recognize Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough’s residents, businesses, organizations, and schools for their work to improve and protect the environment.
In an effort to raise environmental awareness throughout Lower Merion Township and to highlight environmental achievements, the Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) sponsors the awards.

International Women’s Day is a global day that celebrates the cultural, political, social and economic achievements of women.
International Women’s Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action. It has been occurring for well over a century – and continue’s to grow from strength to strength.
Women are still not paid equally to that of their male counterparts and their are still not equal numbers in business or politics. Education, health and the violence against them is still worse globally then that of men. However, great improvements have been made and will continue to be made through the upcoming years. The World Economic Forum has predicted that global gender equality is estimated to be achieved by 2133.
